Kinesiology at Optimum
A Registered Kinesiologist facilitates active rehabilitation for clients through individually tailored programs to increase core stability, overall strength, endurance, and active/passive range of motion. These tailored programs can include stretching, strengthening, and endurance exercises that will cater to rehabilitation of an injury, conditioning for injury prevention and performance improvement. To ensure progress, programs will focus on correct posture, body mechanics and proper technique. This will allow the client to feel comfortable continuing their program on their own once the session(s) end. To begin these sessions, the Kinesiologist may perform functional assessments to determine the performance level of the client and use this as a starting point from which to design a custom exercise program for that particular client.
This type of rehabilitation focuses on introducing movement as early as possible following an injury. The continued movement promotes healing throughout the body and will shorten recovery time. This continuous movement theory can also be practiced to prevent injury.
Registered Kinesiology is covered by some extended benefit packages. Appointments are available in 1/2 hour or 1 hour one on one sessions.
